What An Advisor Meeting Should Be!

For most, taking that important first life altering step, visiting with a properly
licensed financial professional to formally plan for
a
secure financial future,
should be and often is a very exciting and pleasurable experience.

Unfortunately sometimes, this is just not the case and we have found this,
far to often, to be true. For some, simply meeting with an advisor for the
first time will cause some anxiety. For others, who have already been in a
long standing relationship with their current advisor, having concerns about
how their portfolio has been performing and seeking a review with another
advisor, hoping to be assured they are still on the right track. Or worse yet,
the new client who has been totally ignored by some commissioned broker
after the quick sale! These and many other negative situations often create
a tremendous amount of emotional pain and/or an incredible level of stress.

Rest assured, there is no need for you to be concerned with these issues.
We have effectively eliminated the number one reason for all this anxiety.
"
Being pressured by a pushy salesman to make a quick decision!"You see, E S Yetman Advisors has put in place a firm, unbreakable rule
and continue to live by it everyday.

"No One Can Become A Client With Us In A First Meeting!"

Our first meeting, "The Assessment Meeting" is designed to be nothing
more than time to get to know one another. It will be kept light and will take
about thirty or forty five minutes to complete.

We will share with you, who we are, a bit of our investment philosophy and
explain how we work. We will also be asking you a series of general
questions and please understand with our fiduciary responsibility to you,
only those necessary to determine if a professional relationship with you,
would be of value to you, benefit your investment strategy and/or planning
goals and most importantly, be in "your best interest".

If after this assessment, we feel we could in fact be of value to you, it will
then be entirely up to you, to decide for yourself, if you feel we are the type
of firm you would feel comfortable working with.

If mutually agreed, we will then be able to schedule a second meeting.
If not, that will be perfectly fine as well. We will thank you for visiting with us
and simply part ways, happy we were able to make some new friends.

If the decision is a second meeting is in order...
You will then be asked to provide to our office additional, more specific
information prior to our next meeting. This will allow for a more in depth
review of your situation and to time to formulate our preliminary conceptual
recommendations.

If during "
The Recommendations Meeting
", you like what you hear, you
may at this point, simply hire us and we can then move forward together!

As you can see, we have made the entire process as painless as possible
and believe, it should be!

Have Your Home Tested For Radon!

Radon is a leading cause of nonsmoking lung cancer cases which have also been on the rise. If you smoke, that's all the more reason you should have your home tested. Smokers have an even higher risk than nonsmokers of developing cancer as a result of radon gas exposure.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and eight other federal agencies announced a new effort this week to strengthen the fight against exposure by creating a national risk reduction plan for radon.

The EPA and Surgeon General are urging every homeowner who hasn't tested for radon in at least two years to do so. Radon levels in soil can vary over time, so getting clean results on your new home doesn't guarantee that you aren't being exposed five years later. People can contact their state radon office for information on locating qualified test kits or radon testers. You'll also be able to see if your area tend to have high radon levels.

Radon is a naturally occurring, invisible and odorless radioactive gas that's present at high levels in one in 15 American homes. Millions of Americans are unknowingly exposed to this dangerous gas, but testing your home and fixing any problem avoids the health hazard from it.

In fact, I wish radon risks were more publicized years ago, especially the fact that levels vary over time and when you hear stories like this;

"My mother, who never smoked a day in her life, developed lung cancer. It's true that she was exposed to secondhand smoke. But as a stay-at-home mom, she was the one at home the most. The same home for more than 40 years. We did test the house once after she was diagnosed and radon levels weren't excessive. But one unsettling piece of information we did learn was that the county in which she lives, and particularly her town, has higher-than-average levels of radon. So who knows what the levels might have been 20 or 30 years ago coming into her home?"

The EPA and Surgeon General's advice this month to get your home tested every two years seems like a good idea to me.

The great mystery..............

Ever wonder why no one ever came forward from President Obama's past saying they knew him,     attended school with him, was his friend, etc. ??  Not one person has ever come forward from his past.

               VERY, VERY STRANGE..

This should really be a cause for great concern.  To those
who voted for him, you may have elected an unqualified, inexperienced shadow man.
Reminds me of The Manchurian Candidate....

Let's face it.  As insignificant as we all are .. someone
whom we went to school with remembers our name or face ... someone
remembers we were the clown or the dork or the brain or the quiet one or
the bully or something about us.

George Stephanopoulos of ABC News said the same thing during
the 2008 campaign.  He questions why no one has acknowledged the
president was in their classroom or ate in the same cafeteria or made
impromptu speeches on campus.

Stephanopoulos also was a classmate of Obama at Columbia -- the
class of 1984.  He says he never had a single class with him.

While he is such a great orator, why doesn't anyone in Obama's
college class remember him?  And, why won't he allow Columbia to release
his records?

NOBODY REMEMBERS OBAMA AT COLUMBIA !

Looking for evidence of Obama's past, Fox News contacted 400
Columbia University students from the period when Obama claims to have
been there, but none remembered him.

Wayne Allyn Root was, like Obama, a political science major at
Columbia who also graduated in 1983  In 2008, Root says of Obama, "I
don't know a single person at Columbia that knew him, and they all know
me. I don't have a classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia.
EVER!

Nobody recalls him.  Root adds that he was also, like Obama,
"Class of  '83 political science, pre-law" and says, "You don't get more
exact or closer than that."  Never met him in my life, don't know anyone
who ever met him.  At the class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago,
who was asked to be the speaker of the class?  Me.  No one ever heard of
Barack! And five years ago, nobody even knew who he was.

The guy who writes the class notes, who's kind of the, as we say
in New York, the macha who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, a
human who ever met him."

Obama's photograph does not appear in the school's yearbook and
Obama consistently declines requests to talk about his years at Columbia,
provide school records, or provide the name of any former classmates or
friends while at Columbia.

NOTE:  Root graduated as Valedictorian from his high school,
Thornton-Donovan School, then graduated from Columbia University in 1983
as a Political Science major in the same class that Barack Hussein Obama
was supposed to have been in.

         Some other interesting questions..

Why was Obama's law license inactivated in 2002?

Why was Michelle's law license inactivated by Court Order?

It is circulating that according to the U.S. Census, there is
only one Barack Obama but 27 Social Security numbers and over 80 aliases.
WHAT!!  ???   The Social Security number he uses now originated in Connecticut where he
is never reported to have lived.

No wonder all his records are sealed!

Please continue sending this out to everyone.  Somewhere, someone knew him in school...before he "reorganized" Chicago & burst upon the scene at the 2004 Democratic Convention & made us all swoon with his charm, poise & speaking pizzazz.
Pass this on to everyone on your mailing list ... pass it across America!

You Should Know This About Me!

In the interest of full disclosure, I felt compelled to post to this blog a dramatic event, I am certainly not proud of, but one that has changed my life.

On July 6, 2010, I was arrested and charged with a DUI, “Driving Under the Influence”, in Morgantown, West Virginia. I was jailed overnight and later, after appearing in front of the local magistrate and pleading guilty to the charge, was sentenced to return to the jail for a total confinement served of 24 hours. Twelve of which I had already served that terrible evening and twelve more in October.
I would like to share how all of this came about. Not as an excuse, as there is really no excuse for getting behind the wheel after drinking but, just as an explanation.

You see, it was the beautiful Sunday of the July fourth weekend and I was out on my boat on Cheat Lake in Morgantown, West Virginia.  I was enjoying myself on the lake most of the day and oh, by the way I was not drinking. Later in the day, as I ventured upstream on the river, all was great until I reached the head water area where it gets rather shallow. This particular day, the water level was very low and I struck some rocks with the propeller and as a result, damaged the lower unit to the point that the boat and I were totally disabled. It seems this broke the drive shaft and I had no way to move under power. Fortunately for me, there was another boater just downstream and I was able to get his attention and he was kind enough to tow me back, 7 miles, to my dock. What Luck!

Well, once I was back at the dock and had the boat put away, I decided to visit the bar at the marina and have a few glasses of Merlot to relax myself. That turned out to be the mistake of the year! You see, back in 2005 I had a gastric bypass operation and those who have that surgery should not drink at all. My doctor had told me at the time; "Don’t Drink, it will go right to your head". I can now confirm that to be true!

My wife had stayed home that day, so she was not with me that evening but did need her car, which I had taken the next morning to go to a conference in State College that afternoon. So, I decided I would go to the local convenience store and get myself a really big cup of coffee before attempting the return trip home that evening.

As I was driving to the store another car stopped, for no apparent reason, right in front of me and I was involved in a minor traffic accident. Well as I am sure you will agree, if you have been drinking, there is no such thing as a minor accident and so I had to learn a very hard lesson.

I will say one wonderful thing did come from this. I realized the Lord was watching over me and kept me from making an ill-advised attempt of a long drive home that night. I realized I really could have killed myself or worse yet someone else. I also realized that alcohol and I don’t mix and I have not had another drink since. I am truly sorry for what I have done and thankful that no one was hurt.

Well to close, I would not ask for forgiveness, but would hope for your understanding.

Thank you for listening,
Shel

P.S. Don't ever think it is OK to get behind the wheel after having even one drink.
Believe Me...  It's Not Worth It!

Well it is working
